Some of the things you say will resonate with some people.
I started my ‘Best Seller’ novel about fifteen years ago. It takes some effort to get going again.

If it’s to do with my mention of ‘the likely response’ I just meant that I know most people prefer to read upbeat posts rather than downbeat, self-critical ones. Nothing I said was personally directed at you, and I certainly didn’t intend to cause any offence, many apologies if that’s how it came across.
I actually said I didn’t believe I ‘deserved’ happiness, not that I don’t want it given the chance. I see a therapist in hope that she can help me to resolve this dilemma and learn to live comfortably with myself.

If you don’t believe that you should have happiness why bother with a therapist?

They are, gorier than they used to be I mean.
I could go on – so I will for a mo.
Why do people ride bikes on the pavement? Where do toddlers learn to ride their little bikes? with Mum and/or Dad helping them to ride along the pavement. Why wouldn’t they grow up thinking it’s OK to ride on the pavement?
And the current explosion of female complaints about unwanted male advances are, at least in part, encouraged by provocative dress. Why would women wear skimpy, figure hugging/exposing clothing if they didn’t want the attention of males?
I could go on and on….

I watch a lot of detective dramas, but mainly because I like something which has a puzzle and mystery at its heart – I’m not very good at guessing the perpetrators but I like the surprise.
As they say, there’s no drama without conflict.
I ignore the gore, though they do seem to be getting gorier than they used to be.

That would require finding a torch, and possibly batteries as well.
But it’s not just the light – I get a crick in my neck trying to read it when it’s on the wall – easier to take it down.

Which makes me wonder why we expect people to be civil to each other in real life, it’s a wonder that so many are!
Heating systems instructions are meant to be difficult to understand. But you could take a torch to the ‘little box’ rather than carry it to the light.
I think I could find employment writing instructions for things!
